Hot karting action was the order of the evening on 5 December when Eclipse Marketing invited its clients to join staff for the biennial Eclipse Kart Cup Competition. The karting competition, which has been held for the past ten years, is always well attended, especially by representatives from Eclipse’s automotive clients. This year’s event was as popular – and hard fought – as ever.  “It’s a chance for our corporate clients to rev up and let their hair down,” said Eclipse’s managing director David Pickering. “This time we welcomed teams of up to five people from nine of our clients, including Peugeot, two teams from Honda, Kia, Toyota and Renault. Though this is mainly a social event, it’s always very competitive.”  Andy Bye, Manager Technical Operations at Peugeot, agrees. “We’re all desperate to win and fight for every inch of the track. The last few minutes of every race are very tense. We feel we’re fighting for our manufacturer’s honour. “The Peugeot team was a bit disappointed to come third this time, as we’ve won the competition two or three times in the past.  Nevertheless, it is an excellent way to network and a good reward for the team. It’s an event we all look forward to.”  Triumphant karters this time were Honda Power, closely followed by Harley-Davidson and Peugeot. “A great, well organised evening,” concluded Andy.
