
End to UK postal strikes set to boost UK direct marketing
Many companies that are recovering from the impact of the recession will now be looking to up their direct marketing spend.
This is the view of experts who claim businesses will “definitely” be turning to marketing as they look to boost themselves in the aftermath of the economic downturn.
Evidence of this was seen in research, which revealed an increase in advertised vacancies across the marketing sector during October, as demand for such workers grows.
The value of direct marketing to a successful business has never been in question, and that’s why the industry is amongst the first to show signs of economic recovery.
This has come after a study suggested that companies should do more to promote recycling on direct marketing messages, with it revealing that just over one in ten inserts in such communications included an environmental message.
