New figures highlight growing popularity of online direct marketing
New research has revealed that a number of companies have increased their use of online direct marketing channels such as email.
The study by the European Interactive Advertising Association (EIAA) found that 83 per cent of marketers upped their spend on web-based channels during 2009, while many will continue this in the next 12 months.
The research predicted a 7.6 per cent year-on-year rise in online direct marketing expenditure during 2010.
Online direct marketing is continuing to thrive and grow due to its flexibility, accountability and ability to offer brands a robust return on investment, with web-based promotions becoming “the medium of choice” for European marketers.
Recent figures found that 82 per cent of small businesses that use, or intend to use, email marketing expect to enjoy revenue growth over the coming months.
